The Midd-West Mustangs had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They were beaten by Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy 56-14 on Tuesday. Midd-West was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-5.
They got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of
Emma Wagner and
Emily Kline, who each put up five points. Wagner also led the team in rebounds with four.
Midd-West's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.
Midd-West will be playing in front of their home fans against Juniata at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Greenwood at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Greenwood focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 27 on Saturday.
