The Eastmoor Academy Warriors are taking a road trip to take on the Independence 76ers at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Eastmoor Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 12.5 runs per game this season.
It was a classic East v. West duel when Eastmoor Academy took on West on Monday. The Warriors were the clear victors by a 15-2 margin over the Cowboys. The victory continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Cowboys: they've now won eight in a row.
Darren Milligan made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He struck out eight batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with four stolen bases, three runs, and one double. That's the most runs he has posted since April 1st.

In other batting news, Mouhammed Ndiaye was incredible, going 1-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high.
Meanwhile, Independence was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 20-4 to Eastmoor Academy.
Shakai Talbert King and Darric Gibson did some serious damage despite the final result: Talbert King went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases and one RBI, while Gibson went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.
Independence's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Eastmoor Academy, their record now sits at 12-2.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Wednesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Eastmoor Academy has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 10.7 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Independence struggles in that department as they've been averaging 9.2 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Everything went Eastmoor Academy's way against Independence in their previous meeting on Wednesday, as Eastmoor Academy made off with a 20-4 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
