The Kehillah Rams couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They suffered a tough 42-21 defeat at the hands of Design Tech on Monday. Kehillah has struggled against Design Tech recently, as their contest on Monday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
When it comes to explaining why Kehillah lost, one person who can't be blamed is Ariella Sheppard. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 14 points and 10 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Talia Kleinberg, who scored 2 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals.
Design Tech was led to victory by Jewel Wilson and Emerson "Emi" LaPedis. Wilson scored 14 points, while LaPedis scored 16 points along with 6 steals and 5 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Wilson has scored at least 25% of Design Tech's points.
Kehillah's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Design Tech, their win bumped their record up to 1-2.
