The King Kekaulike Na Ali'i lost against the Burroughs Bears on Thursday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. King Kekaulike took a 57-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of Burroughs. King Kekaulike has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Leading Burroughs to victory were Ashley Martin and Claire Hackney. Martin scored 14 points along with 9 rebounds and 3 steals, while Hackney scored 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Valentina Morales, who scored 4 points along with 13 rebounds.
King Kekaulike's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Burroughs, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.
King Kekaulike will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Lahainaluna at 5:30 p.m. on December 22nd. Burroughs is on the road again on Wednesday and play against Serra at 8:45 p.m. on November 22nd.
