Football Recap: Sunrise Christian Academy Piles Up the Points Against Cornerstone Family

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Sunrise Christian Academy walked away with it. They breezed past the Cornerstone Family Saints to the tune of 65-20 on Friday. The Buffaloes might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by 22 points or more this season.

Sunrise Christian Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lee Keller, who picked up 76 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Keller has become a key player for the Buffaloes: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two receiving touchdowns, but 2-3 otherwise. Wade Keller was another key signal caller, throwing for 58 yards and three TDs.

Sunrise Christian Academy was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 207 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Sunrise Christian Academy didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Iyzrel Graham.

Sunrise Christian Academy pushed their record up to 6-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 48.8 points over those games. As for Cornerstone Family, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.

As of now, neither Sunrise Christian Academy nor Cornerstone Family have any future games scheduled.
