After flying high against Wakefield  last Saturday, Howells-Dodge came back down to earth. The Howells-Dodge Jaguars fell  48-41 to the Aquinas Monarchs on Tuesday. If the Jaguars were looking for revenge after losing  34-32 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

 Howells-Dodge's  loss shouldn't obscure the performances of  Kenadie Throener, who  went 5 for 8 on her way to 10  points in addition to five  boards and three  blocks, and  Jade Bayer, who  went 5 of 10 on her way to 12 points and three  steals. Bayer is  on a roll when it comes to  steals, as she's  now  grabbed two or more in the last eight games she's  played dating back to last season.
 Aquinas was led to victory by  Faith Samek and  Riley Campbell.  Samek  almost  dropped  a double-double on 20 points and nine  rebounds, while  Campbell  posted 14 points and four  steals. The team also got some help courtesy of  Miriam Frasher, who  put up six  points and ten  rebounds.
Having lost for the first time  this season, Howells-Dodge  fell to 2-1. As for Aquinas, they now also have a winning record of 2-1.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Howells-Dodge will venture away from home to  face off against Humphrey-Lindsay  at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday. As for Aquinas, they will head out to  take on Archbishop Bergan  at 4:30  p.m.  on Saturday.
