The Valor Christian Eagles will venture away from home to square off against the Chatfield Chargers at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.
Chatfield will be up against a hot Valor Christian squad: the team just extended their winning streak to four. Everything went the Eagles' way against Bear Creek on Saturday as they made off with a 14-6 win. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by eight runs or more this season.

Elizabeth Canales made a big impact no matter where she played. She pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Kendall Ferguson was a standout: she fired off two home runs, six RBI, and one double while going 5-for-5. That's the most home runs she has posted since back in October of 2024. Ellie Brayton also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Valor Christian kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in four consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Chatfield got themselves on the board against Bear Creek on Thursday, but Bear Creek never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over the Bears. The Chargers haven't had any issues with the Bears recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.
Naveah Stratton and Annabelle Beikmann did most of the damage at the plate: Stratton went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base, while Beikmann went a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Quinn Davros was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Valor Christian's record now sits at 11-7. As for Chatfield, their record is now 7-10.
Valor Christian was able to grind out a solid win over Chatfield in their previous meeting on September 11th, winning 4-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
