The Milpitas Trojans will be playing at home against the Monta Vista Matadors at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Milpitas' last four contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
Last Friday, it was close, but Milpitas sidestepped Lynbrook for a 2-1 win. Two seems to be a good number for Milpitas as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of goals in their previous game.
They were led to victory by the tag-team duo of
Aeshia Patague and
Kayli Wong, who scored both of Milpitas' goals. The pair have combined for a total of six so far this season.
Meanwhile, Monta Vista entered their tilt with Lynbrook with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Monta Vista's defense stepped up to hand Lynbrook a 4-0 shutout on Wednesday.
Milpitas has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6-4 record this season. As for Monta Vista, their victory bumped their record up to 5-9-4.
