They claimed a resounding 61-21 victory over Cate on the road. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 33-9.
St. Bonaventure was led to victory by Milan Garcia and Sarah Cosio. Garcia scored 20 points along with five rebounds and three steals, while Cosio dropped a triple-double on 16 points, 12 assists, and 11 steals. Those 12 assists set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Sophia Fernandez, who scored nine points along with five rebounds.
The win was the third in a row for St. Bonaventure, bringing their record for this year to 11-7. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 33.33 points. As for Cate, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Bonaventure will take on Foothill Tech at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Cate, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Bishop Diego at 1:30 p.m. on January 13th. Bishop Diego is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
