Rothsay had trouble last Friday, and unfortunately for them, their opponent this week is a big step up in difficulty. On Friday they take on Verndale at 7:00 PM. The odds don't look promising for Rothsay, but the bigger the opponent is, the harder they fall.
If Rothsay were riding high off their 44-13 takedown of Park Christian two weeks ago, that ride came to an abrupt end. Rothsay took a hard 6-22 fall against Wheaton/Herman-Norcross. Rothsay's low-scoring loss was the unsatisfying follow-up to their high-scoring outing the game before.
Meanwhile, Verndale put the finishing touches on their 3rd blowout victory of the season. They steamrollered Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley 48-8.
