After losing to the Chillicothe Hornets the last time they met, the Parkview Vikings decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Parkview walked away with a 51-43 win over Chillicothe on Wednesday.
Despite the loss, Chillicothe saw an underclassman step up: Jaishon White scored 21 points along with six rebounds. That's the first time this season that White scored 15 or more points. Sol'jier Allen was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Parkview's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Chillicothe, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Parkview and Hillcrest will shake off the cobwebs and face off against one another at 7:00 p.m. on January 2, 2024. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Missouri (Hillcrest is ranked 118th, while Parkview is ranked 105th). Chillicothe will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Bishop LeBlond at 7:30 p.m. on January 4, 2024.
