The Futures Knights's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their sixth straight defeat. They suffered a rough 42-22 loss at the hands of Sierra Academy of Expeditionary Learning. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Futures in their matchups with Sierra Academy of Expeditionary Learning: they've now lost four in a row.
Futures was without their leading scorer, Emma Kharchenko, in Tuesday's game. With Kharchenko sitting this one out, Syrae Farani got some extra time on the court (23 vs. her season average of 11.94).
Futures has not been sharp recently as the team's lost 13 of their last 15 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-17 record this season. As for Sierra Academy of Expeditionary Learning, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-6.
Futures will be playing at home against Victory Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Futures comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last four games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for Sierra Academy of Expeditionary Learning, they will head out on the road to challenge Encina Prep at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
