It was a good run, but the High Point Christian Academy Cougars unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Monday. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 51-26 walloping at the hands of Virginia Academy. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points High Point Christian Academy has scored all season.
Despite the defeat, High Point Christian Academy had strong showings from Angel Walker, who scored six points along with two steals, and Kylie Torrence, who scored ten points along with six rebounds and two blocks.
High Point Christian Academy's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-2. As for Virginia Academy, they pushed their record up to 9-6 with that victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.
High Point Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Greensboro Day School at 4:00 p.m. on January 16th. As for Virginia Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Riverdale Baptist at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
