The Southern Fulton Indians will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Meyersdale Red Raiders at 7:30 p.m. Southern Fulton will be strutting in after a victory while Meyersdale will be coming in after a defeat.
Southern Fulton scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They really took it to Fannett Metal for the full four quarters, racking up a 59-29 win on the road. That 30 points margin sets a new team best for Southern Fulton this season.
Southern Fulton's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Claire Harvey led the charge by scoring 18 points along with six assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Kamryn Pittman, who scored 12 points along with seven steals.
Meanwhile, Meyersdale's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 53-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of Rockwood. Meyersdale has not had much luck with Rockwood recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Southern Fulton has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. As for Meyersdale, their loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-11.
Southern Fulton came up short against Meyersdale in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, falling 45-37. Thankfully for Southern Fulton, Amelia Kretchman (who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 13 rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
