David Emanuel Academy entered their tilt with Covenant Academy on Thursday with six consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with seven. They put the hurt on the Rams with a sharp 12-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won five games by six runs or more so far this season.

Clayton Hood was excellent, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Richard Braddy, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

David Emanuel Academy pushed their record up to 8-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Covenant Academy, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-10.

As for Covenant Academy, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Twiggs Academy at 4:30 p.m. on April 8. Twiggs Academy has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15.71 runs per game on average), something Covenant Academy will no doubt try to take advantage of.
