Palm Desert won the last time they faced Palm Springs and things went their way on Monday too. The Palm Desert Aztecs put the hurt on the Palm Springs Indians with a sharp 51-30 win. The Aztecs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Palm Desert's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tiffany Chang, who went 5 for 8 on her way to 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Katelyn Gallagher, who posted 12 points and four steals.

Palm Desert was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Palm Springs only racked up seven assists.

Despite the loss, Palm Springs still got an impressive performance from Eiresslee Wells, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 14 boards. Wells is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last nine games she's played. Another player making a difference was Shayla Bates, who earned seven points and ten boards.

Palm Desert pushed their record up to 17-8 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 2-10 Rancho Mirage and 7-16 Xavier Prep (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 35.5% over those games). As for Palm Springs, their loss dropped their record down to 16-11.
