The Turlock Christian Eagles will square off against the Venture Academy Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Venture Academy will be up against a hot Turlock Christian squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. The Eagles' pitcher stepped up to hand Millennium a 9-0 shutout last Tuesday. Considering the Eagles have won six contests by more than eight runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Not much got past Cam Kelley, who gave up just three hits and racked up 15 Ks to keep Millennium off the board. Kelley has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Michael Miller, who went 4-for-5 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Jakobe Garcia, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.
Turlock Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .406. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher in four consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Venture Academy). They were the clear victors by a 13-1 margin over Millennium on Friday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Mustangs considering their two-run performance the game before.
Rafael Vega made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched. Vega was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
In other batting news, Angelo Carranza was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That triple was his first of the season. Tanner Gantt was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base.
Turlock Christian's victory bumped their record up to 11-3. As for Venture Academy, their win bumped their record up to 4-11.
Turlock Christian suffered a grim 8-2 defeat to Venture Academy in their previous matchup back in April of 2025. Will the Eagles have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more baseball content.
