Carter Tidwell made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits over four innings pitched. What's more, he gave up only one walk, the fewest he's had since back in April of 2024. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.
In other batting news, Bradshaw Christian let Joey DeMarco and Evan Fujii-Sisler run wild. DeMarco went a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple, one run, and one RBI, while Fujii-Sisler scored two runs while going 1-for-1. Max Wolf was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.
Bradshaw Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .516. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Marysville only posted an OBP of .207.
Meanwhile, Vista del Lago didn't have quite enough to beat River City on Tuesday and fell 5-3. The loss was the Eagles' first of the season.
Vista del Lago also got a good showing from David Wright, who tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.
At the plate, Vista del Lago saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ethan Rhee, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.
Bradshaw Christian pushed their record up to 2-0 with the win, which was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs over those games. As for Vista del Lago, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.
