In what's become a running theme this season, the Winters Warriors gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 10-2 margin over Colusa. It was an even better day for Ava Muir Vickrey as she scored three goals for her team.
Winters is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season. As for Colusa, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-9-4.
Winters will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against Los Molinos at 5:15 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Winters has four straight victories, Los Molinos has seven straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field. As for Colusa, they will head out on the road to square off against Willows at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Colusa will be up against Willows' rather soft defense (which has allowed 5.17 goals per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive showing.
