Winters is 9-1 against Willows since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Warriors will challenge the Honkers at 4:00 p.m. Winters will be looking to extend their current 11-game winning streak.
On Friday, Winters beat Live Oak 6-1.

04/18/25 @ East Nicolaus | 7 |
04/11/25 @ Pierce | 8 |
04/04/25 vs Colusa | 9 |
03/21/25 @ Napa | 11 |

Boston Jones spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on five hits and racked up nine Ks. He has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Winters saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jake Woods, who went 2-for-3 with two runs. That's the most runs Woods has posted since back in April of 2024. Lane Brown was another, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.
Meanwhile, Willows never let their opponents score on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 9-0 margin over Pierce. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Honkers.
The result came thanks to Anthony Quezada's shutout, as he gave up just a hit and racked up 11 Ks. He is becoming a predictor of Willows' success: when he posts at least eight strikeouts the team is 3-1 (and 1-13 when he doesn't).
On the hitting side, Charles Squier was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with three RBI and two runs. He has become a key player for Willows: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 1-14 otherwise. Kellan Ramsey also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
Winters pushed their record up to 12-9 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Willows, their record is now 4-14.
Winters' speedy runners might be the difference in Tuesday's matchup. The Warriors have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.3 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Willows, though, as they've been averaging only 1 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Winters continue to outrun the ball?
Everything went Winters' way against Willows in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Winters made off with a 12-2 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
