Renaissance Academy found their leader in underclassman Saydi Daye, who scored 15 points along with nine steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Daye has scored at least 25% of Renaissance Academy's points. Another player making a difference was Aniyah Jones, who scored ten points along with five steals.
The Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Renaissance Academy, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-2.
The Christian Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Bristol at 4:00 p.m. on January 3, 2024. As for Renaissance Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Collegium Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
