The Midd-West Mustangs had to endure a 14-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They breezed by Columbia Montour Vo-Tech on the road to the tune of 60-6. The victory was just what Midd-West needed coming off of a 59-18 defeat in their prior matchup.
Midd-West's win on Tuesday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Izzy Walter, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 15 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Walter has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Emma Wagner, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds.
Midd-West's victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-2. As for Columbia Montour Vo-Tech, they bumped their record down to 0-4 with that defeat, which was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season.
Midd-West will take on Benton at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Columbia Montour Vo-Tech won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Sullivan County at 7:30 p.m. on December 13th.
