It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Harvard-Westlake Wolverines had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They snuck past the Indians with a 67-63 win. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Deana Thompson was her usual excellent self, scoring 25 points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Madison Mcdonald, who scored 15 points along with six assists.
Harvard-Westlake's victory bumped their record up to 12-17. As for Hart, their loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 22-6.
Harvard-Westlake will square off against Windward at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Harvard-Westlake focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Thursday. Hart does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
