Kennett is 0-10 against the Golden Knights since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Kennett Blue Demons will look to defend their home court against the Bayard Rustin Golden Knights at 6:45 p.m. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a four-game winning streak alive.
Last Saturday, Kennett didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against the Auks, but they still walked away with a 40-35 win. The victory was all the more spectacular given Kennett's disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 145th in Pennsylvania, while the Auks are ranked 11th in Delaware).
Meanwhile, Bayard Rustin made easy work of the Bucks on Saturday and carried off a 60-38 win.
Bayard Rustin's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Riley Stackhouse, who scored 17 points along with eight rebounds and six steals. Stackhouse has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last six times she's played. Another player making a difference was Sara Betchyk, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and two blocks.
Kennett has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. As for Bayard Rustin, their victory bumped their record up to 16-5.
