Eastside's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dominique Burnett, who scored 17 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Burnett has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Aprill Medrano, who scored 12 points.
Despite the defeat, Quartz Hill saw an underclassman step up: Ashantee Palmer scored 16 points along with eight steals. Palmer has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. My'arie Mcalpine was another key contributor, scoring three points along with ten rebounds and two steals.
Eastside is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. As for Quartz Hill, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-8.
