The Truckee Wolverines had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They enjoyed a cozy 37-20 win over Sparks on Wednesday. The victory was just what Truckee needed coming off of a 53-20 loss in their prior match.
When it comes to explaining why Sparks lost, one person who can't be blamed is Berenice Moreno Almaraz. Despite the final result, she scored six points.
Truckee's victory bumped their record up to 8-11. As for Sparks, they dropped their record down to 3-12 with that defeat, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Truckee will face off against the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. North Valleys is coming into the match hot, having won their last eight games. As for Sparks, they will head out on the road to challenge the Hawks at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Nevada (Hug is ranked 90th, while the Railroaders are ranked 85th).
