Basketball Recap: Trinity Skates Past Central Valley with Ease

Trinity won the last time they faced Central Valley and things went their way on Friday too. The Trinity Wolves claimed a resounding 53-23 win over the Central Valley Falcons. The Wolves have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 22 points or more this season.

Claire Cox went supernova for Trinity, going 8 of 15 on her way to 17 points and eight rebounds. Cox is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kloe Kist, who posted 14 points.

Trinity smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 16 offensive rebounds in three consecutive games.

Trinity has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.2 points per game. As for Central Valley, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.

Trinity won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Del Norte at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Central Valley, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Shasta at 4:30 p.m. on January 2, 2025.
