Baseball Recap: Crawford Wins Going Away Against Canyon Hills

Crawford had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They put the hurt on the Canyon Hills Rattlers with a sharp 20-5 win on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Colts, who have now won eight games by six runs or more so far this season.

Abraham Carillo-Ceron was incredible, going a perfect 5-for-5 with four runs, three doubles, and four RBI. He is also on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last six games he's played. Ray Sanchez was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Crawford always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .638. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Canyon Hills only posted an OBP of .345.

Crawford's victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 9-10. As for Canyon Hills, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-11-2 record this season.

Crawford will head out to square off against High Tech SD at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The last four games the Storm have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Canyon Hills, they will take on San Dieguito Academy at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. The Rattlers are facing the Mustangs at the right time seeing as the Mustangs are stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
