Hamilton is 0-4 against Temecula Prep since March of 2015 but things could change on Friday. The Hamilton Bobcats will welcome the Temecula Prep Patriots at 3:30 p.m. Hamilton is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7 runs per game this season.
Hamilton barely beat California Military Institute the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Hamilton was the clear victors by a 26-7 margin over California Military Institute on Wednesday. The Bobcats haven't had any issues with the Rough Riders recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Seth Aanestad made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Hamilton is 2-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 0-3 otherwise. Aanestad was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one home run, four stolen bases, and six RBI. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in RBI.
In other batting news, Kenneth Orozco and Joey Alvarez did most of the damage at the plate: Orozco scored four runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4, while Alvarez went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. Alvarez is becoming a predictor of Hamilton's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 2-1 (and 0-3 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Gustavo Villalobos, who scored three runs and stole Three bases. while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.
Hamilton always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .698. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
The home team had won the previous three meetings between Temecula Prep and Nuview Bridge, and Temecula Prep kept the tradition alive. Temecula Prep skirted past Nuview Bridge 7-5. That's two games straight that the Patriots have won by exactly two runs.
Braden Litt was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out 12 over 5.1 innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
Litt wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Evan Van Winkle, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2. Another was Ryan Mohr, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with two RBI.
Temecula Prep's win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-3. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Hamilton, their victory bumped their record up to 2-4.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Friday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Hamilton has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 10 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Temecula Prep struggles in that department as they've been averaging 9.4 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Hamilton suffered a grim 13-3 defeat to Temecula Prep when the teams last played back in April of 2019. Will Hamilton have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other baseball content.
