Baseball Recap: Quincy Has No Trouble Against Fall River

Quincy won the last time they faced Fall River and things went their way on Friday too. The Trojans put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 10-4 victory. The result was nothing new for the Trojans, who have now won three contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Jace Moore and Jesse Hogg made a big impact while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Moore tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Hogg tossed four innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. At the plate, Moore got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two RBI and one run, while Hogg went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Quincy is undefeated when Hogg posts three or more RBI, but 2-5 otherwise.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Lincoln Brown, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Quincy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

The win got Quincy back to even at 5-5. As for Fall River, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-3.

Quincy wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 6-4 victory against Loyalton on the 21st. As for Fall River, they have also already played their next matchup, a 14-2 defeat against Biggs on the 20th.
