Germantown Friends's game on Friday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They came out on top against Masterman by a score of 40-30.
Despite the loss, Masterman still got an impressive performance from Jocelyn Goldstein, who scored 17 points. That was a full 56.7% of Masterman's points, marking the 14th time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Sophia Brunelli was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Germantown Friends' win bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Masterman, their defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 14-1.
Germantown Friends the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome George School at 5:30 p.m. on January 30th. As for Masterman, they will head out on the road to face off against John Bartram at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. John Bartram will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 623rd, while Masterman is ranked 95th).
