On Wednesday, the East Thunderbirds faced the Laramie Plainsmen in a battle between two of the state's top teams. East came out on top against Laramie by a score of 50-42. Winning may never get old, but East sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Several Plainsmen players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Carson Milam, who scored 12 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Milam has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Addison Forry, who scored six points along with six assists.
East is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-2 record this season. As for Laramie, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 7-4.
East won't have much time to rest: their next match is against South at 5:00 p.m. on January 18th. South is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak. As for Laramie, they will head out on the road to square off against Central at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Central is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last seven games.
