The McFarland Cougars only won by two when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 22-point they dealt the Delano Tigers on Tuesday. McFarland put the hurt on Delano with a sharp 52-30 win. The victory was nothing new for McFarland as they're now sitting on three straight.
McFarland's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jocelyn Vallejos, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Oivia Bega, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds.
McFarland's victory bumped their record up to 8-20. As for Delano, they have not been sharp recently as the team has lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-18 record this season.
McFarland does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Delano, they will be playing at home against Taft at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Taft focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Tuesday.
