After a string of four wins, Abraham Lincoln's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell to the Frankford Pioneers 39-35. The Railsplitters lost against the Pioneers in their previous head to head back in January of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 44-17 score last time.
Abraham Lincoln's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Haja Lewis, who posted ten points. Ilisah Butler was another key player, putting up seven points.

The dominant performance also gave Raif a new career-high in assists (three). Janeliss Laboy was another key player, posting 17 points and six rebounds.
Abraham Lincoln's loss dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Frankford, they pushed their record up to 7-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road.
Abraham Lincoln will host Philadelphia Academy Charter at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Frankford and George Washington will compete for holiday cheer at 3:15 p.m. on Monday.
