Rio Mesa has been struggling as of late, and they have yet to win a game this season. They lost 5-0 to the Buena Bulldogs on Thursday. The Spartans were not able to make up for their defeat to the Bulldogs from their previous meeting back in January.

Rio Mesa's loss dropped their record down to 0-4-1. As for Buena, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Rio Mesa will welcome San Marcos at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Buena, they will be taking part in a tournament against Newport Harbor at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
