The Juniata Indians put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against Selinsgrove by a score of 31-18. Given Juniata's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 83rd, while Selinsgrove is ranked 293rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Among those leading the charge was Haley Mummah, who scored seven points along with seven steals and six rebounds. Those six rebounds set a new season-high mark for she. The team also got some help courtesy of Regan Lowrey, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Juniata's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Selinsgrove, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Juniata and Newport will face off at 7:30 p.m. on December 11th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. As for Selinsgrove, they will head out on the road to face off against Hughesville at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
