The De Beque Dragons won the last time they faced the Caprock Academy Eagles, and things went their way on Wednesday too. De Beque secured a 37-32 W over the Eagles. The victory made it back-to-back wins for De Beque.
De Beque got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Avery Rigsby out in front who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds. Rigsby hasn't dropped below nine rebounds for five straight games. Rachel Graham was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on ten points and 17 rebounds.
Caprock Academy lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Taylor Phillips, who scored eight points along with four steals. Phillips hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Pennie Underwood, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds.
De Beque has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. As for Caprock Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-7.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing North Park the next time they take the court. De Beque will head out to face the Wildcats at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Eagles will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.
