If the Highlands Scots were feeling good off their 45-22 takedown of the Vacaville Christian Falcons last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Highlands took a 38-34 hit to the loss column at the hands of Golden Sierra. Highlands has not had much luck with Golden Sierra recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Golden Sierra to victory, but perhaps none more so than Skyler Tory, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 20 rebounds. Tory hasn't dropped below ten rebounds for nine straight games. Another player making a difference was Zofia Bradford, who scored eight points along with ten steals and seven rebounds.
Highlands' defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-13. As for Golden Sierra, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-12.
Highlands does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Golden Sierra will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Valley Christian at 7:00 p.m. on February 13th. One thing working in Valley Christian's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four matchups.
