The Laguna Beach Breakers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their ninth straight defeat. They took a 43-32 hit to the loss column at the hands of Marina. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Laguna Beach in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now lost four in a row.
Marina's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rylee Bradley, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 rebounds. Bradley is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 15 or more in the last eight games she's played. Another player making a difference was Haley Nguyen, who scored seven points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Laguna Beach has been struggling recently as they've lost 13 of their last 14 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-21 record this season. As for Marina, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 20-8.
Laguna Beach does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Marina also has no future games currently scheduled.
