Walton is 7-1 against Cherokee since November of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Raiders will be playing at home against the Warriors  at 7:30  p.m. Walton has given up an average of 31.6  points per game this season, but Friday's  game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Walton fought the good fight in their overtime  matchup against Marietta  on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Blue Devils by a score of  41-38. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game  back in September (34), the Raiders still had to take the loss.
 Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from  Christion Peacock, who rushed for 121 yards and one  score while picking up 7.6 yards per carry, and also threw for 154 yards and three  touchdowns. Another back making a difference was  Noriega Thompson, who gained 138 total yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Cherokee was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight  defeat. They took  a  21-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of Wheeler. That's two games in a row now that the Warriors have lost by  exactly 13  points.
 Walton will have to contain  Brandon Hamilton as he made an impact in Cherokee's last game. He rushed for 123 yards and one  TD. Hamilton's rushing production has been exceptional  as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 123  rushing yards.
 Walton now  has a losing record of 3-4. As for Cherokee, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.
 Walton was able to grind out a solid  victory over Cherokee in their previous matchup  back in October of 2024, winning  28-21. Will the Raiders repeat their success,  or do  the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
