Glen Burnie found their leader in underclassman Starr Munford, who scored 17 points along with eight steals. Munford is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed four or more in the last four games she's played. Mckenzie Gilbert was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five rebounds and four steals.
North County's defeat was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-13. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 23.0 points per game. As for Glen Burnie, their victory bumped their record up to 7-8.
North County will be playing in front of their home fans against Broadneck at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Broadneck will roll in looking for their 15th straight victory, something North County surely won't give up without a fight. As for Glen Burnie, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Fallston at 9:30 a.m. on February 3rd. Glen Burnie will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Maryland Rankings (they are ranked 139th, while Fallston is ranked 47th).
