Baseball Recap: Bishop Union Now 7-1 over Last Eight Games

Bishop Union barely beat Mammoth the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Broncos were the clear victors by a 23-3 margin over the Huskies on Tuesday. The Broncos might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matches by seven runs or more this season.

Bishop Union got a massive performance out of Will Kemp, who scored five runs and stole a base while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. That's the most runs Kemp has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden Leeson, who scored four runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4.

Bishop Union always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .674. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Bishop Union has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Mammoth, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-8.

Coming up, Bishop Union will head out to challenge Vasquez at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. The Mustangs will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Broncos surely won't give up without a fight. As for Mammoth, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Immanuel Christian at 3:15 p.m.
