Hannah Shaver was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 18 points and 16 rebounds. She has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last seven times she's played. Another player making a difference was Damaris Figueroa, who scored 14 points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Santa Rosa Academy's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. The match between Santa Rosa Academy and Temecula Prep wasn't particularly close, with Santa Rosa Academy falling 44-25.
Desert Christian Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. As for Santa Rosa Academy, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-8.
