Desert Christian Academy can now show off 11 landslide victories after their most recent match. They claimed a resounding 72-24 win over Nuview Bridge at home. Desert Christian Academy's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Hannah Shaver was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 18 points and 16 rebounds. She has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last seven times she's played. Another player making a difference was Damaris Figueroa, who scored 14 points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Santa Rosa Academy's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. The match between Santa Rosa Academy and Temecula Prep wasn't particularly close, with Santa Rosa Academy falling 44-25.
Desert Christian Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. As for Santa Rosa Academy, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-8.
Everything came up roses for Desert Christian Academy against Santa Rosa Academy in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 as the squad secured a 53-19 win.
