Vacaville and Jesuit are an even 4-4 against one another since March of 2015, but likely not for long. The Bulldogs will square off against the Marauders at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.
Vacaville is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They blew past Laguna Creek 12-2. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Bulldogs as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.
Jaiden Oldwin was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed five innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those four hits gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Peyton Olds was excellent, going 2-for-3 with three runs. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Wilcox, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Vacaville always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .545. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Laguna Creek only posted an OBP of .286.
Meanwhile, Jesuit had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by an 11-4 margin over the Royals. Jesuit's victory was all the more impressive since the Royals were averaging only 3.97 runs allowed on the season.
Teddy Rios tossed a big game, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits over 5.2 innings pitched.
On the hitting side, Cade Colombara and Petey Palko did most of the damage at the plate: Colombara went 2-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one RBI, while Palko got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. That triple was Colombara's first of the season. Jordan Walczykowski was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.
Vacaville's win bumped their record up to 17-12. As for Jesuit, their victory bumped their record up to 20-9.
