Elder faced Beavercreek in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Panthers never let the Beavers get on the board and left with a 2-0 victory. Winning may never get old, but the Panthers sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.
The result came thanks to Caleb McComas's shutout, as he gave up just four hits and racked up six Ks. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one walk in six consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Jack Rosenacker was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high.
Elder's win bumped their record up to 18-10. As for Beavercreek, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-6.
