Basketball Recap: Triton's Losing Streak Snapped at Three Games

Triton needed a changed in momentum after dropping three straight games and they got it from Nashara McNeil-Watlington. The Triton Hawks took down the Western Harnett Eagles 53-37 on Friday thanks in part to McNeil-Watlington, who went 12 for 27 on her way to 30 points and eight rebounds. Her evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

Triton pushed their record up to 6-8 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.7 points per game. As for Western Harnett, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Triton will take on Pine Forest at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Western Harnett, they will face off against E.E. Smith at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
