The Williamson Warriors scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They breezed by Wyalusing Valley on the road to the tune of 71-40. Williamson has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 21 points or more this season.
Leading Williamson to victory were Olivia Meisner and Taylor Rae Jones. Meisner dropped a double-double on 18 points and 14 rebounds, while Jones scored 25 points along with six rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Meisner has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Vinsek, who scored eight points.
Williamson is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-3 record this season. As for Wyalusing Valley, they now have a losing record at 7-8.
Williamson will head out on the road to take on Athens at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Wyalusing Valley, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Wellsboro at 7:30 a.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Pennsylvania (Wyalusing Valley is ranked 493rd, while Wellsboro is ranked 496th).
