The El Camino Eagles's game last Thursday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They strolled past Delta with points to spare, taking the game 45-28. Winning is a bit easier when you work as a team to rack up eight more assists than your opponent, as El Camino did.
Noelle Potratz was her usual excellent self, scoring 16 points along with eight rebounds and six blocks. The match was her ninth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Cosette Coles, who scored ten points.
When it comes to explaining why Delta lost, one person who can't be blamed is Ayren Rapp. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds. Rapp is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season.
El Camino's victory bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Delta, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-4.
El Camino will be staying on the road on December 20th to face off against Lindhurst at 7:45 p.m. on December 20th. Lindhurst comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 25 points in their last six games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. Delta will be home for the holidays to greet Victory Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Victory Christian is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.
