The Surry Central Golden Eagles pushed their score all the way to 58 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a serious blow against South Stokes, falling 88-58. When it comes to explaining why Surry Central lost, one person who can't be blamed is Luizao Sanchez. Despite the final result, he scored 10 points. Another player making a difference was Tripp McMillen, who scored 12 points along with 3 steals.
Surry Central has fallen quite a ways from their 19-8 record last season and are now at 1-2. As for South Stokes, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.
Surry Central will be playing at home against Alleghany at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. South Stokes won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against McMichael at 8:00 p.m. on November 29th.
