Meanwhile, North Penn-Liberty's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 22-21 to North Penn-Mansfield. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points North Penn-Liberty has scored all season.
Cowanesque Valley dropped their record down to 2-7 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 26.3 points per game. As for North Penn-Liberty, they now have a losing record at 6-7.
Cowanesque Valley came up short against North Penn-Liberty in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, falling 37-28. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of North Penn-Liberty's Haley Litzelman, who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and seven steals.
